Press Release
Saturday, December 13, at our Centennial Candlelight Performance, the recipient of the Candlelight Service Award was announced. We are pleased that Jolene Jolley, our principal from 2005 – 2008, received the award. We want to congratulate her and thank her for her service to Bingham. A reception in her honor was held in the Alumni Room on Monday, December 15.
This week at Bingham we are finishing up our Sub-4-Santa Drive with an assembly Friday afternoon where the amount raised by our students and community will be revealed. This event is always fun, as those who gave challenges to raise certain amounts are required to follow through on promises they made. New looks for teachers, entertainment by the administrators, performing groups drenched in condiments, feats of strength, a variety of other crazy activities, and most importantly the announcement of the final total of donations, all combine to make this a great afternoon. Thanks to all who attended events or participated in some way to help us raise money for several worthy causes. As we look toward our Winter Break and look back on 2008 it is amazing what has been accomplished this year. We are appreciative of those who have given much to help Bingham. We have so many groups who are organized for the sole purpose of supporting our school. We recognize this and appreciate your efforts and the impact that you make.If you are still looking for last minute gifts, remember that we have great Centennial items in our main office. We have pins, shirts, and the “Bingham High School Centennial” book, to name a few. These are great gifts for those who are Bingham fans. Have a wonderful holiday season! We look for great things to happen in 2009!
