Requirements
• 2.5 Cumulative GPA or 3.0 3rd Quarter GPA
• Registered to attend Bingham High School during the 2007-2008 school year
• At least one parent present at the parent meeting (or other arrangements made with Mrs. Hester)

Important Dates
Tuesday May 6, 2008, 6:30 PM: Parent & Dancer Meeting, Bingham High School media center, Mrs. Hester is available to answer any questions following the presentation.

Wednesday May 7, 2008, 3:15-4:30 PM: First Audition, BHS South Gym, AUDITION PACKET DUE, Registration starts at 2:45 pm.
Wednesday May 7, 2008, 4:30-6:00: Jazz Workshop, BHS Dance Room, bringing jazz shoes is encouraged but not required
Thursday May 8, 2008, 3:15-5:00 PM: Modern Workshop, BHS Dance Room, barefeet only
Friday May 9, 2008, 3:15-6:00 PM: AUDITION, BHS Dance Room, Modern: barefeet, Jazz: jazz shoe optional

Audition Application

1. Please read the Audition Information document before auditioning. Your application must include the following items:
   Application form (enter information electronically using Microsoft Word then print).
2. Consent and Acknowledgment Agreement Form (download, print, and obtain parent/s and your signature on form).
3. Copy of your 3rd quarter report card, may also be obtained from your school registrar's office (a copy of Power School grades are not sufficient as it does not include your GPA).
4. Three (3) recommendation forms in sealed envelopes with the recommender's signature over seal (download, print 3 copies, and give to 3 adults or teachers who know you well).
5. Copy of Front and Back of your Medical Insurance Card
   

Dancer Etiquette for workshops and audition

1. Wear proper attire: proper attire for women includes: leotards, dance pants/tights/bikers, bare feet and hair pulled out of face. Remove all loose and/or large jewelry. Shirts worn during the day at school are not considered appropriate dress. Pants cannot be longer than ankle-length. Proper attire for men includes: tank tops or t-shirts, and stretchable sweat pants or shorts.
2. Demonstrate respect for dancers teaching the workshops, advisor, judges, and other auditionees. Any dancer exhibiting poor behavior or disrupting the workshop or audition will be asked to leave and his/her audition will not be considered. Remember: decisions made regarding membership in the Bingham High School Dance Company includes dance ability, academic records, and citizenship. . . YOU ARE BEING WATCHED AT ALL TIMES, and poor behavior exhibited during the workshops will affect the final decisions made by the judges.
