Science Department Mission statement: A thorough knowledge of science is becoming increasingly important to succeed in our technologically driven society, therefore Bingham High School offers a comprehensive science program for all students. Utah State Core Courses are offered in physical, biological, and environmental science, with a wide range of electives available, depending on interest and career choice. Students desiring additional challenges are encouraged to take Advanced Placement courses in biology, chemistry, and physics, or choose from concurrent enrollment offerings in biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science. As all careers become more complex, we feel a strong need to emphasize vocational relevance within all our courses. Topics discussed and issues examined in our science classes are appropriate for a world that is continually becoming more technologically complex. Our goal is to prepare all of our students for a continuously changing work and educational environment.
